2012 Spring Equinox: A Jump Start on the Integration of Opposites

A Numerology Perspective

Well, we should say the integration of opposites got jump started at the turn of the millennium, but today offers another opportunity to consciously set your intention for integration action on a personal and collective level! Every opportunity to do this is valuable in its own, unique way and today offers more than a few valuable reasons to partake in this exercise.

In numerology, the month, day and year numbers of any date, as well as their total sum, offer information about the quality of energy that directs that day and gives implications of its connection to the future.  We reduce all multiple digit numbers to a single digit through addition.

Looking at today’s date, March 20, 2012, written as 3-20-2012, we first add the numbers straight across 3 + 2 + 0 + 2+ 0 +1 + 2, which equals 10, then continuing with 1+ 0 we get 1 as the ‘prime directive’ number for this date.

Putting that aside for the moment, we then take into account the numbers of the month, day and year by adding for the single digit sum of each, which results in 3-2-5 (3+(0)=3, 2+0=2, 2+0+1+2=5).  So, we now have 4 numbers: 1, 2, 3, and 5, to explore for their individual and combined messages to us on this beginning of Spring day and how today relates to the bigger picture!

3 is the number of the child as the authentic self expressed through the qualities of self- love, self-acceptance and creative self-expression.  Through these qualities, 3 therefore lends itself to self improvement.

2 represents the feminine qualities, including (but not limited to) agreement, patience, diplomacy, sensitivity, cooperation and consideration of others, as well as integration.

5 is the number of freedom, change and progress, a number of growth through activity and adaptability that requires letting go.

represents the masculine qualities, including (but not limited to) individual, strength, courage, determination for forward movement and penetration, as in originating and birthing, instigating the momentum for a new beginning.  Perfect for the first day of Spring and new life this year!

Summing up, today, in any way you wish to combine it, offers opportunity for self-improvement by letting go of the old and intending a new beginning for progress and growth toward the integration of our masculine and feminine sides, with the emphasis on using our creative energy for setting a new cycle in motion.

What does this have to do with the bigger picture? It coincides with the old millennium cycle of 1, masculine, energy that began with the year 1000 and ended with the dawning of the new 2, feminine, energy millennium that began from the year 2000.

While 2 may seem opposite from 1, as in separation ideology, it actually includes the 1 (1+1=2) and therefore represents the integration of masculine and feminine energies/qualities.  Let’s face it, we all have some of both within and isn’t it time we started acting like it?

As in the saying, as above, so below, which describes both duality and unity in the same sentence, we have a clearer choice now, in this 2000 millennium of integration, to use the 2 energy to divide and polarize or integrate opposites in our quest to ascend to the next level of consciousness.   And no matter how long it takes, (another 988 years?) we will  be increasingly unable to ignore the glaring deficits of the separatist duality of “us and them” thinking that has, and will continue, to create struggle and strife in our existence on the planet.

In this new dawn, in an era of new and expanded consciousness, with awareness and active, willing intention, “Divide and Conquer” can be replaced with “Integrate and Prosper.” Today marks a strong new cycle of life and growth on this 1 day in this 5 year of progress for each individual in concert with the whole.  What will you do with it?
